Rodney Weeks – Specialist dance styles teacher 

Rodney as been involved in the world of dance from a very early age predominately in the sphere of Ballroom and Latin American. Having competed from an early age in all major dance events he was successful as a junior (under 16yrs) in winning the British, International and Star Championships. Following this as a youth competitor (under 21 years) further success ensued by winning the British open to the world title. From then on competing against the world's top couples he achieved a world top six ranking before retiring to start a family and concentrate on coaching and adjudication.

Rodney has trained several British Champions and adjudicated at many major events including The International, United Kingdom , Dutch, Swiss, Irish and Italian Championships. Television appearances number more than sixty and include being a part of the original Come Dancing's winning Home Counties North Team. Professional qualifications held include Member of the Imperial Society and International Dance Teachers Association plus The United Kingdom Alliance.

Over the years in addition to coaching successful dancers of all ages, Rodney has been responsible for promoting many important dance events and competitions and has just retired as the chairman of the Southern Area of the Dance Promoters Associations, a position he has held since its' inception.

Rodney is delighted to have been a guest teacher at HTS for many years and hopes that the students have benefited from their lessons and that they will find them of use in their future careers.
