At HTS we take the welfare of our students very seriously. Training to be an actor can be an arduous process of self discovery, coupled with the realisation that this could be your first time away from home. We offer regular consultations with staff, which can be booked as private consultation time. All information discussed in these sessions is treated in the strictest of confidence. We offer an ‘open door' policy, meaning in its simplest form that the door is always open to students to discuss concerns arising from the course, or personal matters that they need some advice on.

On commencing your course you are also allocated a student ‘angel' whose role it is to help you settle in. Very often your initial concerns are simple matters that a more experienced student can assist you with – after all, they were once in the same position as you!

If the problem is considered too serious for the staff member to safely assist you with, they will advise you as to where you need to go to seek more professional help. They will then support you as you seek that help.
